حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَيْرًا مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَقْبَلْتُ أَنَا وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَسَارٍ مَوْلَى مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَبِي جُهَيْمِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الصِّمَّةِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ أَبُو جُهَيْمٍ أَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ نَحْوِ بِئْرِ جَمَلٍ فَلَقِيَهُ رَجُلٌ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى أَقْبَلَ عَلَى الْجِدَارِ فَمَسَحَ بِوَجْهِهِ وَيَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ رَدَّ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman al-A'raj narrated to us, he said: I heard Umayr, the freedman of Ibn Abbas, say: I came, along with Abdullah ibn Yasar, the freedman of Maymunah, wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and we entered upon Abu Juhaym ibn al-Harith ibn al-Simmah al-Ansari. Abu Juhaym said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came from the direction of Bi'r Jamal, and a man met him and greeted him with peace, but the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not return his greeting until he turned to the wall and wiped his face and hands, then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, returned his greeting.
