English Translation
'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, he said: I heard Musa ibn 'Ali ibn Rabah al-Lakhmi say: I heard my father say: I heard 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir say: There were three times during which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to forbid us to pray and to bury our dead: when the sun rises, gleaming, until it is fully up; at the sun's zenith at midday, until it declines; and when the sun draws near to setting, until it sets.
