English Translation
Yahya ibn Ghaylan narrated to us, he said: Rishdin - meaning Ibn Sa'd - narrated to us, he said: 'Amr - meaning Ibn al-Harith - told me, from Abu 'Ushanah, that he heard 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir relate about the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he used to forbid people from adornment and silk, saying, "If you love the adornment of Paradise and its silk, then do not wear them in this world."
