حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ أَنَّ بِشْرَ بْنَ مَرْوَانَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَقَالَ عُمَارَةُ بْنُ رُوَيْبَةَ مَا زَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى هَذَا وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعِهِ السَّبَّابَةِ.
English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Husayn, that Bishr b. Marwan raised his hands on Friday upon the pulpit, so Umara b. Ruwayba said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never went beyond this" - and he pointed with his index finger.
