حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَسْتَغْفِرُ لِلصَّفِّ الْمُقَدَّمِ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ وَلِلثَّانِي مَرَّةً.
English Translation
Isma'il told us, from Hisham al-Dastuwa'i, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith, from Khalid ibn Ma'dan, from al-Irbad ibn Sariyah, that he told them that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to ask forgiveness for the front row three times and for the second row once.
