English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us: Khalid informed us, from Abu Qilaba, from Abu al-Ash'ath al-San'ani, from Shaddad ibn Aws, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Indeed Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has prescribed excellence in all things. So when you kill, kill well, and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let each of you sharpen his blade well and let him give ease to the animal he slaughters.
