حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَوَالَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ نَجَا مِنْ ثَلَاثٍ فَقَدْ نَجَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ مَوْتِي وَالدَّجَّالُ وَقَتْلُ خَلِيفَةٍ مُصْطَبِرٍ بِالْحَقِّ مُعْطِيهِ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Ishaq told us, from Yahya ibn Ayyub, who said: Yazid ibn Abi Habib told me, from Rabi'ah ibn Laqit, from Abdullah ibn Hawalah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever is saved from three (things) has been saved three times over: my death, the Dajjal (Antichrist), and the killing of a caliph steadfastly upholding the truth who gives generously."
