حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ جَرَادٍ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ حَيْوَةَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ يُرِدْ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهُّ فِي الدِّينِ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Hammad narrated to us: Shu'ba ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us from Jarad, a man from Banu Tamim, from Raja' ibn Haywa, from Mu'awiya ibn Abi Sufyan, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: 'Whoever Allah wishes good for, He grants him understanding of the religion.'
