قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ الْأَحْوَلُ عَنِ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الرَّقَاشِيِّ قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ قَالَ فَتَذَاكَرْنَا الشَّرَابَ فَقَالَ الْخَمْرُ حَرَامٌ قُلْتُ لَهُ الْخَمْرُ حَرَامٌ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ إِيشْ تُرِيدُ تُرِيدُ مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنْ الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ قَالَ قُلْتُ مَا الْحَنْتَمُ قَالَ كُلُّ خَضْرَاءَ وَبَيْضَاءَ قَالَ قُلْتُ مَا الْمُزَفَّتُ قَالَ كُلُّ مُقَيَّرٍ مِنْ زِقٍّ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ.
English Translation
He said: Yunus ibn Muhammad told us, he said: Abd al-Wahid told us, he said: Asim al-Ahwal told us, from Fudayl ibn Zayd al-Raqashi, who said: We were with Abdullah ibn Mughaffal, and we discussed drink, and he said: Wine is forbidden. I said to him: Is wine forbidden in the Book of Allah, Mighty and Sublime? He said: What do you want? Do you want what I heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him? I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbid the gourd vessel, the green jar, and the pitch-lined vessel. I said: What is the green jar? He said: Every green and white vessel. I said: What is the pitch-lined vessel? He said: Every vessel smeared with pitch, whether a skin or otherwise.
