حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ يَعْنِي الْحُمَيْدِيَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَنِي الصَّعْبُ بْنُ جَثَّامَةَ اللَّيْثِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ أَهْلِ الدَّارِ مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَيُبَيَّتُونَ فَيُصَابُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ وَذَرَارِيِّهِمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هُمْ مِنْهُمْ.
English Translation
'Abdullah narrated to us: Ishaq ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr -- that is, al-Humaydi -- narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, he said: al-Zuhri narrated to us, he said: 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah informed me, that he heard Ibn 'Abbas say: al-Sa'b ibn Jaththamah al-Laythi informed me, who said: I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him -- and he was asked about the households of the polytheists that are raided by night, and some of their women and children are struck -- the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "They are of them."
