قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ الْيَمَامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَسْلَمُ سَالَمَهَا اللَّهُ وَغِفَارٌ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهَا أَمَا وَاللَّهِ مَا أَنَا قُلْتُهُ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ قَالَهُ.
English Translation
He said: 'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, who said: 'Umar ibn Rashid al-Yamami narrated to us, who said: Iyas ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwa' narrated to us, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Aslam - may Allah keep them safe; and Ghifar - may Allah forgive them. By Allah, it is not I who said it, but Allah who said it."
