قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ إِيَاسَ بْنَ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُمُعَةَ ثُمَّ نَرْجِعُ فَلَا نَجِدُ لِلْحِيطَانِ فَيْئًا يُسْتَظَلُّ فِيهِ.
English Translation
He said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, who said: Ya'la ibn al-Harith narrated to us, who said: I heard Iyas ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwa', from his father, who said: We used to pray Friday prayer with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and then return, and we would find no shade of the walls to shelter in.
