قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ بَعْدُ أَوْ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ حَلَفَ بِمِلَّةٍ سِوَى الْإِسْلَامِ كَاذِبًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَهُوَ كَمَا قَالَ وَمَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِشَيْءٍ أَوْ ذَبَحَ ذَبَحَهُ اللَّهُ بِهِ فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'ba told us, from Khalid, from Abu Qilaba, from Thabit ibn al-Dahhak, who was among the companions of the Tree - then he said afterward: or from a man, from Thabit ibn al-Dahhak, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him - that he said: "Whoever swears falsely and deliberately by a religion other than Islam, then he is as he said. And whoever kills himself with something, or slaughters himself, Allah will slaughter him with it in the Fire of Hell."
