حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ وَبَهْزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي صَوْمِ الدَّهْرِ قَالَ مَا صَامَ وَمَا أَفْطَرَ أَوْ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ.
English Translation
Yahya told us, from Shu'bah — and Bahz said: Shu'bah told us — from Qatadah, from Mutarrif, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Shu'bah said: Qatadah said: He informed me, saying: I heard Mutarrif, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, concerning fasting the entire year continuously, that he said: He neither fasted nor broke his fast, or: he did not fast and did not break his fast. And Bahz said in his account: he did not fast and did not break his fast.
