English Translation
He said, Sulayman told us: Rawh told us: Bistam ibn Muslim told us, from Mu'awiya ibn Qurra, who said: My father said: 'We lived long with our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and we had no food but the two black things.' Then he said, 'Do you know what the two black things are?' I said, 'No.' He said, 'Dates and water.'
