حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ أَنَّ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَوْ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُ إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ خَصَّهُ بِهِ أَنَّهُ نَكَحَ ابْنَةَ أَبِي إِيهَابٍ فَقَالَتْ أَمَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا فَجِئْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَجِئْتُ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ فَقَالَ فَكَيْفَ وَقَدْ زَعَمَتْ أَنْ قَدْ أَرْضَعَتْكُمَا فَنَهَاهُ عَنْهَا.
English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq told us, he said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: 'Abdullah ibn 'Ubaydullah ibn Abi Mulaykah informed us, that 'Uqbah ibn al-Harith ibn 'Amir informed him - or he heard it from him, if he did not tell it to him alone - that he married the daughter of Abu Ihab, and a black slave-woman said: "I have suckled you both." So I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and mentioned that to him, and he turned away from me. I came again and mentioned it to him, and he said: "How can it be, when she has claimed that she suckled you both?" So he forbade him from her.
