English Translation

He said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, he said: Shu'bah told us, from Furat, from Abu al-Tufayl, from Abu Sarihah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was in an upper room, and we were beneath it talking. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, looked down upon us and said: "What are you discussing?" They said: "The Hour." He said: "The Hour will not come until you see ten signs: a collapse in the east, a collapse in the west, a collapse in the Arabian Peninsula, the smoke, the Dajjal, the beast, the sun rising from its place of setting, Gog and Magog, and a fire that comes out from the depths of Aden, driving the people before it." Shu'bah said: I heard him, and I think he said: "It halts with them wherever they halt, and it rests with them at midday wherever they stop." Shu'bah said: And a man narrated this hadith to me from Abu al-Tufayl, from Abu Sarihah, but he did not attribute it to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. One of these two men said: "the descent of 'Isa ibn Maryam," and the other said: "a wind that casts them into the sea."
