English Translation
He said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi told us, from Sufyan, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Abu Wa'il, from Qays ibn Abi Gharazah, who said: We used to sell slaves in the market, and we were called the samasirah, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, named us with a name better than that which we called ourselves, and said: "O company of merchants, indeed this trading is attended by idle talk and oaths, so mix it with charity."
