حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ أَبِي مَسْلَمَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الْعَزِيزِ بْنَ أَسِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, from Abu Maslamah, that he heard 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Asid say: I heard Ibn al-Zubayr, when a man asked him about the nabidh (steeped drink) of the clay jar, say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade the nabidh of the clay jar.
