English Translation
Isma'il ibn Ibrahim told us, he said: Ayyub informed us, from Abdullah ibn Abi Mulaykah, from Abdullah ibn az-Zubayr, that Ali mentioned [marrying] the daughter of Abu Jahl, and this reached the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, so he said: "Fatimah is but a part of me; whatever hurts her hurts me, and whatever distresses her distresses me." Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, [he said]: Shu'bah told us, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, who said: I heard Abu al-Hakam say: I asked Abdullah ibn az-Zubayr about al-Jarr and ad-Dubba' [glazed jars and gourd vessels used for nabidh].
