حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ يَعْنِي أَبَا مَسْلَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَسِيدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَفْتِنَا فِي نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنْهُ.
English Translation
Isma'il ibn Ibrahim told us, Sa'id ibn Yazid — that is, Abu Maslamah — told us, he said: 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Asid told us, he said: I heard a man say to Ibn al-Zubayr, "Give us a ruling concerning nabidh made in a jar." He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbidding it."
