English Translation
Abu al-Jawwab narrated to us: Ammar ibn Ruzayq narrated to us from Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, he said: A group of the people of Basra, among them al-Hasan, narrated to me from Ma'qil ibn Sinan al-Ashja'i, that he said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by me while I was cupping [having blood let], on the eighteenth night of Ramadan, and he said: The one who cups and the one who is cupped have both broken their fast.
