Ibrahim ibn Abi al-Abbas and Yunus ibn Muhammad told us, they said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Uthman told us - Ibrahim ibn al-Abbas said in his hadith: "ibn Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn Hatib" - My father told me, from his grandfather Muhammad ibn Hatib, from his mother Umm Jamil bint al-Mujallil, who said: "I brought you from the land of Abyssinia, and when I was a night or two away from Madinah, I cooked a dish for you, but the firewood ran out, so I went out to look for some. You reached for the pot and it tipped over onto your forearm. I brought you to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: 'May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah, this is Muhammad ibn Hatib.' So he spat into your mouth, wiped your head, prayed for you, and began spitting lightly on your hands, saying: 'Take away the harm, Lord of mankind, and heal - You are the Healer, there is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no sickness behind.'" She said: "I had not yet risen to leave with you from his presence before your hand had healed."
