حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah and Hajjaj told us — Hajjaj said, Shu'bah told me — he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Zurarah — Hajjaj said in his narration: I heard Zurarah — from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he used to perform the witr prayer with [the recitation of] "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High."
