حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي النَّهْدِيَّ عَنْ عَامِرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَالِكٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ وَالْغَرَقُ شَهَادَةٌ وَالْبَطْنُ شَهَادَةٌ وَالنُّفَسَاءُ شَهَادَةٌ.
English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun told us: Sulayman — that is, al-Taymi — informed us, from Abu Uthman — that is, al-Nahdi — from Amir — that is, Ibn Malik — from Safwan ibn Umayyah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said, "Plague is martyrdom, drowning is martyrdom, the abdomen is martyrdom, and death in childbirth is martyrdom."
