حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ وَإِنِّي اشْتَرَطْتُ عَلَى رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَيُّ عَبْدٍ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ سَبَبْتُهُ أَوْ شَتَمْتُهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ زَكَاةً وَأَجْرًا.
English Translation
Hajjaj told us, he said Ibn Jurayj: Abu al-Zubayr informed me, that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: I am only a human being, and I have stipulated with my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, that any Muslim servant whom I curse or revile, let that be for him a purification and a reward.
