حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ أَنَا فَرَطُكُمْ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُونِي فَأَنَا عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَالْحَوْضُ قَدْرُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْلَةَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ وَسَيَأْتِي رِجَالٌ وَنِسَاءٌ فَلَا يَذُوقُونَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا مَوْقُوفٌ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ.
English Translation
Rawh told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, Abu al-Zubayr informed me, that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say, without attributing it to the Prophet: I am your forerunner going ahead of you; if you do not find me, I will be at the Basin, and the Basin is the distance between Aylah and Mecca. Men and women will come but will not taste anything of it. Stopped at Jabir, not attributed to the Prophet.
