حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحٌ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ جَاءَ شَابٌّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَتَأْذَنُ لِي فِي الْخِصَاءِ فَقَالَ صُمْ وَسَلْ اللَّهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ.
English Translation
Ibrahim, that is Ibn Khalid, told us, Rabah told us, from Ma'mar, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, who said: A man narrated to me, from Jabir ibn 'Abdullah, who said: A young man came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, "Will you permit me to be castrated?" He said, "Fast, and ask Allah from His bounty."
