English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Umawi told us, al-A'mash told us, he said: It reached me from Jabir ibn 'Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When you cook meat, increase the broth or the water, for it goes further" — or "it is more generous toward the neighbors."
