حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ رَجُلًا ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَتُودًا جَذَعًا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تُجْزِئُ عَنْ أَحَدٍ بَعْدَكَ وَنَهَى أَنْ يَذْبَحُوا حَتَّى يُصَلُّوا.
English Translation
Affan told us, Hammad ibn Salamah told us, Abu al-Zubayr informed us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, that a man slaughtered a young goat before the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, had prayed. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: It will not suffice for anyone after you, and he forbade them from slaughtering before they had prayed.
