حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَحْيَا أَرْضًا دَعْوَةً مِنْ الْمَصْرِ أَوْ رَمْيَةً مِنْ الْمَصْرِ فَهِيَ لَهُ.
English Translation
Affan told us, Sa'id ibn Yazid told us, Layth informed us, from Abu Bakr - and Affan once said: from Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad - from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: Whoever revives land at a caller's distance or an arrow's throw from the town, it belongs to him.
