حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَدَقَقْتُ الْبَابَ فَقَالَ مَنْ هَذَا قُلْتُ أَنَا قَالَ أَنَا أَنَا كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَهُ.
English Translation
Affan told us, Shu'bah told us, Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir informed me, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and knocked on the door. He said: Who is this? I said: It is I. He said: I, I? - as though he disliked that.
