حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ طَائِرُ كُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ فِي عُنُقِهِ قَالَ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ يَعْنِي الطِّيَرَةَ.
English Translation
Qutaybah told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: The bird of every person is tied to his neck. Ibn Lahi'ah said: meaning superstitious omens.
