English Translation
Ibrahim ibn Abi al-Abbas told us, Abu al-Malih told us, Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil told us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: The first report that reached us about the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was that a woman had a familiar spirit. It came to her in the form of a bird and landed on a palm trunk of theirs. She said: "Won't you come down so we may tell you news and you tell us news?" It said: "A man has appeared in Makkah who has forbidden us fornication and has forbidden fleeing."
