حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ عَنْ مَاعِزٍ التَّمِيمِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ قَدْ يَئِسَ أَنْ يَعْبُدَهُ الْمُصَلُّونَ وَلَكِنْ فِي التَّحْرِيشِ بَيْنَهُمْ.
English Translation
Abu al-Yaman told us, Safwan told us, from Ma'iz al-Tamimi, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: that he said: "Satan has despaired that those who pray will worship him, but he seeks to stir up hostility among them."
