حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي جَابِرٌ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَيَتْرُكَنَّهَا أَهْلُهَا مُرْطِبَةً قَالُوا فَمَنْ يَأْكُلُهَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ عَافِيَةُ الطَّيْرِ وَالسِّبَاعِ.
English Translation
Hasan told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, Abu al-Zubayr told us: Jabir informed me that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "Its people will leave it full of ripening dates." They said, "Then who will eat them, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "The wild beasts among the birds and predators."
