حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لِرَجُلٍ كَانَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ سَهْلًا إِذَا بَاعَ سَهْلًا إِذَا اشْتَرَى سَهْلًا إِذَا قَضَى سَهْلًا إِذَا اقْتَضَى.
English Translation
'Abd al-Wahhab ibn 'Ata' told us, Isra'il ibn Yunus informed us, from Zayd ibn 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "May Allah forgive a man who was before you: lenient when he sold, lenient when he bought, lenient when he settled a debt, and lenient when he collected a debt."
