حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ وَكَتَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ إِلَى كِسْرَى وَقَيْصَرَ وَإِلَى كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ.
English Translation
Hasan told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, Abu al-Zubayr told us, from Jabir, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, "The servant is with whomever he loves." And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wrote, before he died, to Khosrow and Caesar and to every tyrant.
