حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ وَأَبُو أَحْمَدَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُمُعَةَ ثُمَّ نَرْجِعُ فَنَقِيلُ قَالَ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ثُمَّ نَرْجِعُ إِلَى بَنِي سَلِمَةَ فَنَقِيلُ وَهُوَ عَلَى مِيلَيْنِ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Adam and Abu Ahmad told us, they said: Abd al-Hamid ibn Yazid al-Ansari told us — Abu Ahmad said: Uqbah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Jabir told me, from Jabir, he said: We used to pray the Friday prayer with the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, then return and take our midday rest. Abu Ahmad said: Then we would return to Banu Salimah and take our midday rest, and it was two miles away.
