English Translation
Hashim told us, Zuhayr told us, Abu al-Zubayr told us, from Jabir, he said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said — or: I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, say — "Whoever's sandal strap breaks — or: if one of you's sandal strap breaks — let him not walk in a single sandal until he repairs its strap. And let him not walk in a single boot, nor eat with his left hand, nor sit with his knees drawn up wrapped in a single garment, nor wrap himself completely in a single garment leaving no opening for his hands."
