حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ طَافَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ بِالْبَيْتِ وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ لِيَرَاهُ النَّاسُ وَلِيُشْرِفَ وَلِيَسْأَلُوهُ فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ غَشُوهُ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, from Ibn Jurayj: Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, performed tawaf around the House and sa'i between al-Safa and al-Marwah while mounted on his riding animal during the Farewell Pilgrimage, so that the people could see him, and so he could be seen clearly, and so they could ask him questions, for the people crowded around him.
