حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا طَعِمَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَمَصَّهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامٍ يُبَارَكُ لَهُ فِيهِ.
English Translation
Abu Mu'awiyah told us: al-A'mash told us, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When one of you eats, let him not wipe his hand until he has licked it, for he does not know in which part of the food the blessing lies."
