English Translation
Isma'il told us, Ayyub told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade selling standing grain for measured grain, selling fresh dates for dried dates by estimation, and share-cropping and multi-year sales and stipulating an exception of unspecified amount in a sale, and he permitted the sale of fresh dates on the tree in exchange for dried dates in small quantities for the household's needs.
