حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ وثَنَا رَوْحٌ وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ قَالَ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْإِسْكَافُ إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ سُلَيْكًا جَاءَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ فَجَلَسَ فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَقَالَ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ فَلْيُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ يَتَجَوَّزُ فِيهِمَا.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'When a servant of Allah is placed in his grave, and his companions turn away — he can hear the sound of their sandals — two angels come to him and make him sit up. They say: What did you used to say about this man, Muhammad? The believer says: I bear witness that he is the servant of Allah and His Messenger. It is said to him: Look at your seat in the Fire — Allah has replaced it for you with a seat in Paradise. He sees them both. As for the disbeliever or the hypocrite, he says: I do not know; I used to say what the people said. It is said: You neither knew nor did you follow (those who knew). Then he is struck with an iron hammer between his ears, and he lets out a shriek that is heard by everything near him except humans and jinn.'
