حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ عَادَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُلَامًا كَانَ يَخْدُمُهُ يَهُودِيًّا فَقَالَ لَهُ قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَجَعَلَ يُنْظَرُ إِلَى أَبِيهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ قُلْ مَا يَقُولُ لَكَ قَالَ فَقَالَهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ صَلُّوا عَلَى أَخِيكُمْ وَقَالَ غَيْرُ أَسْوَدَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ قُلْ مَا يَقُولُ لَكَ مُحَمَّدٌ.
English Translation
Aswad ibn Amir told us: Sharik told us, from Abd Allah ibn Isa, from Abd Allah ibn Jabr, from Anas, he said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, visited a Jewish boy who used to serve him, and said to him: "Say: There is no god but Allah." He looked toward his father, so his father said to him: "Say what he tells you." He said: So he said it, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to his companions: "Pray over your brother." Other than Aswad said: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah." He said: So the father said to him: "Say what Muhammad tells you."
