حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ دَعْوَةٌ دَعَا بِهَا فَاسْتُجِيبَ لَهُ وَإِنِّي اسْتَخْبَأْتُ دَعْوَتِي شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Hammam told us: Qatada told us, from Anas ibn Malik, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Every Prophet has a supplication that he made and it was answered for him, and indeed I have kept back my supplication as intercession for my community on the Day of Resurrection."
