حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ نَزَلَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ { إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا } إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ مَرْجِعَهُ مِنْ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَصْحَابُهُ مُخَالِطُو الْحُزْنِ وَالْكَآبَةِ فَقَالَ نَزَلَتْ عَلَيَّ آيَةٌ هِيَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا جَمِيعًا قَالَ فَلَمَّا تَلَاهَا نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْقَوْمِ هَنِيئًا مَرِيئًا قَدْ بَيَّنَ اللَّهُ لَكَ مَاذَا يَفْعَلُ بِكَ فَمَاذَا يَفْعَلُ بِنَا فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الْآيَةَ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا { لِيُدْخِلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ } حَتَّى خَتَمَ الْآيَةَ.
English Translation
Affan told us: Hammam told us: Qatada told us, from Anas, he said: There was revealed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "Indeed We have granted you a clear victory" to the end of the verse, on his return from al-Hudaybiyyah, while his companions were overcome with grief and sorrow. He said: A verse has been revealed to me that is dearer to me than the world and all it contains. He said: When the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, recited it, a man among the people said: May it be pleasant and wholesome for you - Allah has made clear to you what He will do with you, so what will He do with us? Then Allah, Mighty and Sublime, revealed the verse that comes after it: "That He may admit the believing men and believing women into gardens beneath which rivers flow," until He completed the verse.
