حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ مَا كَانَ شَخْصٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِمْ رُؤْيَةً مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانُوا إِذَا رَأَوْهُ لَمْ يَقُومُوا لِمَا يَعْلَمُونَ مِنْ كَرَاهِيَتِهِ لِذَلِكَ.
English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, who said: Humayd informed us, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: There was no person whose sight was dearer to them than the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and yet when they saw him, they would not stand up for him, because they knew of his dislike for that.
