English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, from Anas: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The Day of Resurrection will be prolonged upon the people, so some of them will say to others, 'Let us go to Adam, the father of mankind, so he may intercede for us with our Lord, Mighty and Sublime, that He judge between us.' So they will come to Adam and say, 'O Adam, you are the one whom Allah created with His hand and settled in His Paradise, so intercede for us with your Lord that He judge between us.' He will say, 'I am not fit for that, but go to Nuh, the foremost of the prophets.' So they will come to him and say, 'O Nuh, intercede for us with your Lord that He judge between us.' He will say, 'I am not fit for that, but go to Ibrahim, the friend of Allah, Mighty and Sublime.' So they will come to him and say, 'O Ibrahim, intercede for us with your Lord that He judge between us.' He will say, 'I am not fit for that, but go to Musa, whom Allah, Mighty and Sublime, chose with His messages and with His speech.' So they will come to him and say, 'O Musa, intercede for us with your Lord, Mighty and Sublime, that He judge between us.' He will say, 'I am not fit for that, but go to 'Isa, the spirit of Allah and His word.' So they will come to 'Isa and say, 'O 'Isa, intercede for us with your Lord that He judge between us.' He will say, 'I am not fit for that, but go to Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, for he is the seal of the prophets; he is present today, and his past and future sins have been forgiven.' 'Isa will say, 'Do you not see, if there were goods in a sealed container, could one obtain what was in the container until the seal was broken?' They will say, 'No.' He will say, 'Indeed Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is the seal of the prophets.'" He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "So they will come to me and say, 'O Muhammad, intercede for us with your Lord that He judge between us.' I will say, 'Yes.' So I will go to the gate of Paradise and take hold of the ring of the gate and ask to have it opened. It will be said, 'Who are you?' I will say, 'Muhammad.' Then it will be opened for me, and I will fall down in prostration, and I will praise my Lord, Mighty and Sublime, with praises no one before me has praised Him with, nor will anyone after me praise Him with. Then it will be said, 'Raise your head; speak, you will be heard; ask, you will be given; intercede, your intercession will be accepted.' I will say, 'O my Lord, my community, my community!' Then it will be said, 'Bring out whoever has in his heart the weight of a barley grain of faith.' So I will bring them out. Then I will fall down in prostration again and praise Him with praises no one before me has praised Him with, nor will anyone after me praise Him with. Then it will be said to me, 'Raise your head; ask, you will be given; intercede, your intercession will be accepted.' I will say, 'O my Lord, my community, my community!' Then it will be said, 'Bring out whoever has in his heart the weight of a grain of wheat of faith.' So I will bring them out." He said: Then I will fall down in prostration and say the same, and it will be said, "Whoever has in his heart the weight of a mustard-seed of faith." He said: So I will bring them out.
