English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Khalaf ibn Khalifah narrated to us—my father said: I saw Khalaf ibn Khalifah, and a person said to him, "O Abu Ahmad, did Muharib ibn Dithar narrate to you?" My father said: I did not understand his speech clearly, as he had grown old, so I left him—Hafs narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to command marriage and forbid celibacy sternly, and would say, "Marry the loving, fertile woman, for I will boast of your numbers before the other nations on the Day of Resurrection."
